From York take the A166 to Stamford Bridge. In Stamford Bridge, just before you get to the right hand bend approaching the narrow bridge with traffic lights,take a left turn on the bend.There is a veterinarian surgery on the corner as well as a caravan site on the right as you enter the road.
Follow the road to a T junction and turn right. As you approach Buttercrambe you will see a sign for Bossall and at that point you turn left which takes you onto a single track road. lf you enter the village of Buttercrambe you have gone too far.
Approximately half a mile along the single track road you will come to a sharp right hand bend which is intersected by a farm track on the left. Turn up the farm track which has grass growing in the middle of the track and the flying field is half a mile along the track on the right hand side through a field gate

From York take the A64 towards Scarborough. 4 miles after the big roundabout between the A64 and the the eastern end of the York ring road (A1237) turn left onto Scotchman Lane sign posted for Sandburn Hall, after about 50 meters turn left again into Sandburn Hall Golf Club and TYKES.
